I attacked very early.
Might be a mistake.
But, i'm curious to see how things work out.

The move 26 for you i guess is P-45 to trade bishops.

After that?
I'd be unclear.
What i remember from the basic stuff from Hidetchi's video is to accept the trade.
However, i've started attacking earlier since my boat castle isn't quite connected and therefore much weaker than yours.

I ran it through some different shogi engines and they all suggest to refuse the bishop trade by closing the bishop diagonal (with 6th or 5th file pawn).

After that, different things are suggested.
All like you to protect the bishop head with your silver on 43. Other things:

- my rook to 3rd file (saginomiya has some like this?), your 3rd file pawn attack, my knight, your silver to 44 to attack my silver, my silver attacks your bishop, your 3rd file pawn attack again to kill knight

- my silver just attacks does bogin attack, but let your bishop escape to 44, i give my silver at 35 so i can promote my rook at 21, your bishop back to 44 to protect lance... hmmm... seems uncomfortable for me

- this one is different: you dont protect bishop head with 43, just keep it on 32 to defend knight & 23 square, your bishop is already defending 22, so the goal seems to be to stop me from promoting rook, when my silver attacks your bishop just move it to 44, even though i can force you to trade pawns, before all that we fix our castles a bit ... kinda interesting... is this really going to work ok for you?... maybe, your castle is stronger

- this one, i start to do diagonal bogin like the others but i move my rook up to 26 to get your 3rd file pawn, you move your 5th file all the way up to attack mine, this makes me move my silver to 57 leaving 3rd file undefended (good idea?), you move your rook to the 3rd to threaten silver & support your pawn, however i can also move my rook there too...

any of this interesting?

Hi, kmullin.

P-45 at the 26th move looks right as you point.
After that, P-66 looks the best move, because you should prevent bishop exchange to keep up your attack using the silver.

If △P-45, then ▲P-66 △S-43 ▲P-24 △P-24. It is very difficult situation for both sente and gote. There are a lot of possibilities. But for me, gote's "mino-kakoi" looks very hard to conquer, considering your uncompleted "huna-kakoi" (boat castle).

Of cource, P-35 at the 21st move can be the possible choice. But "naname-bogin" (diagonal bogin) with complete "huna-kakoi" would be the better, or at least safer one.
