Curious what an opposition seeker is in shogi terms.

I see in my player information under play style that I am an opposition seeker. What does that mean?

It means that you tend to play swinging rook against static rook opponents, and static rook against swinging rook opponents. I am also of this type.

Bearing in mind the Shogi proverb "Keep the King and Rook apart", having the Kings castling on the same side of the board sort of implies that the Rooks may well be 'head-to-head' (or at least in opposition), somewhere on the other side of the board, so an answer to the question could be a mixture of both Asteroid and Eskatrem's replies?

It's when the kings castle on the same side of the board (for example, your king castles on your right and your opponent's king on his left).

I have the same doubt, I think is as Asteroid said.

I think it means that rook heads to rook heads.
