Question re: Gokigen Super Rapid Attack Joseki
Hello, I am wondering if anyone knows if dropping a silver at the head of Sente’s knight on 5e is a valid countermeasure in the super rapid attack joseki. Please see to relevant kifu here: https://kifu.co/4Owr
There is a discussion of the proverb "Move or drop Silvers to the head of the enemy Knight." in issue 58 of 'Shoten' magazine (December 2000). I haven't yet had a chance to study it in the context of this game, but it's interesting in its own right.
Later: This proverb is also discussed on the shogi.net website. Go to: http://www.shogi.net/kakugen/ and select item 7 in the list of piece-related proverbs at the left hand side of the page.
Hello
I was surprised at the name "the super rapid attack joseki"
That Japanese name is exactly same as the English name.
So I was surprised.
For more details, you can check https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rieclQWTV1M (it is an introduction to this joseki in English)
It's the same. Sente can take out the horse, and it is a disaster for Gote.
No. Because after K-6b, Sente can play N-6c+(a check), S-6c, and then B-8h+ taking out the horse. So this is obviously better for sente.
