1. Do more "次の一手" and "詰将棋", they are bricks and mortar of your shogi strength

2. Pick either camp: "居飛車党" or "振り飛車党"  to begin with

3. Study the opening traps involved: http://shogi-opening-traps.blogspot.hk/ so that you know the reason behind the joseki

4. watch the videos on this channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/ShogiAssociation
make sure you understand the flow behind, not merely memorizing the moves
