I note that there has been at least one (genuine) post on the old forum in the last couple of days (from HGM). Is there any way that users of the old forum can be informed of the new forum? I only spotted it because I read your message on Shogi-L. RJH

I confirm this - thank you for posting this, I couldn't quite describe what was happening. I think there are other scenarios in which the site reverts to Japanes (changing profile for instance)... After posting a message, the forum reverts to Japanese: the 'Edit' button in the lower right corner of the postings is written in kanji, and on posting a new message the popup asking for confirmation of the text will be entirely in Japanese. It does not seem possible to use boldface or italic fonts. It does not seem possible to post an image.
The content of the old forum has not been transferred here, however, and most sections of the old forum do not even exist here. (In particular Shogi Variants.)
I will find a way to inform the users in the old forum.
