new books: 4th edition in italian and 2nd edition in english

Hello everyone, I hope you are well, those who do not know me, my name is Calogero and I am the president of the Italian Shogi Federation, well the reason for this post is this, for those interested in a shogi book in Italian, this year I published the 4th edition of my book, which has been recognized as optimal by the Japanese embassy in Italy, the book has a gray cover, the book is called SHOGI (SCACCHI GIAPPONESI).
For those who speak and understand English I have published the second edition of my book in English which is called SHOGI (JAPANESE CHESS), with a black cover, this second edition is more complete, it has a total of 336 pages, both editions are Available in Italy and other countries, you can find it on Amazon.
Publishing a book is not easy, especially because one has to put oneself in the readers' shoes, know that they like it, that they are interested, what information they need, etc. Also start something and be the first to do something that nobody did before, because it is not easy, because there will be some people who support what one does, the effort that one has made to publishing and write a book, but there are also ignorant people, envious, they will speak bad about you, without having read your work, if they know how to value your effort, some people believe they are intelligent, but in reality they are just ignorant who do not know anything about anything, but they think they know everything, in situations like these there is a proverb Arabic that says: THE WORST OF THE VOICES IS THAT OF THE DONKEY AND THE VOICE OF THE IGNORANT.
In any case, those who are really interested in learning, because if they want to buy the book, thank you very much.

If I had posted favourable comments, would you have complained? No, of course you wouldn't. You appear to want your cake and the ha'penny - well, no dice.

It's really very simple: You have published what I regard as a bad book about Shogi, and I have said so. If you don't like that - tough - it's a cruel, hard world! For new players, there are at least two introductory books which are far better in terms of both content, and value for money. These are:

'The Art of Shogi', by Tony Hosking
'Shogi for Beginners', by John Fairbairn

You can rant and roar all you like, but your ranting and roaring won't change my opinion one iota.

To all the Readers of this post:
As the Italian Shogi Association (hereafter AIS) has already communicated on a previous occasion (see https://tinyurl.com/mtv5mt5z) the AIS doesn’t have any kind of institutional relationship with the group “italian shogi federation”, and the members of the AIS do not share Mr. Salomon’s opinions.
Kind Regards from Italian Shogi Association

Dear Roger Hare, as I said before, take care of your problems and don't stick your nose where they don't call you.

I don't want to explain anything at all to you, because you are nobody to do it

you declare that I am wasting my time, I remind you that I have published a general post and you are wasting your time to observe if I publish something or not.

If you want people to respect you, the solution is very simple, start respecting others, it is easy and it is not wrong to do so. Your rights start where other people's rights end.

I kindly invite her to take care of other things and not to disturb people you don't know. If you have a little of education and brain, show it with good behavior and manners.

As I said before, you are not any shogi authority in Europe and nowhere, you are just one more person who likes the game (hypothetically), proclaiming yourself a kind of authority, it does not mean that you are and if someone lied to you by saying that It is, I am very sorry for you, for having believed such a lie.

Dedicate your life to other important things.

> ...your insignificant opinion does not interest me in the least...

So, why do you spend so much time and space refuting my insignificant opinion?

I note that you haven't addressed the question of the negative reviews posted by other Italians:

> If in italy are ignorant people, that is not your problem, public defamation in Italy is punishable by law,
> if these people have posted a negative or positive comment here, it does not interest you in the least.

On the contrary, it interests me very much.

> ...but good news, it is not too late, so be encouraged to publish your book too, if you want....

Thank you for your helpful advice, late though it is...

Dear captbirdseye (Roger hare), I must clarify I never
named you in my comment, I also must clarify that your insignificant opinion does not interest me in the least, for this reason I ask you please to leave me alone

Giving an opinion on a book without buying it shows only your arrogance and ignorance. Furthermore, this act that you have done of leaving a comment on something that you have not bought is called DEFAMATION.

Also what I do in Italy is not your business , you don't live here, you are not Italian, I remind you that you are another British, for that reason it would be better if you only take care of what what happens in your country or in your environment.

If in italy are ignorant people, that is not your problem, public defamation in Italy is punishable by law, if these people have posted a negative or positive comment here, it does not interest you in the least.

As I told you once, in my books I use the same program to create the graphics that you use in your translations, which helped me make my books.

Criticizing something without having seen it, getting an idea without knowing the truth, only shows your intellectual level, which is low by what can be appreciated.

I remind you, Mr. Roger Hare, that you are nobody, you are not any shogi authority in Europe, for this reason I ask you politely to take care of your scares and not stick your nose in the affairs of other people and of other countries.

If someone wants to create a shogi group in a country, they are free to do so, in a country there can be from 1 to 1000 shogi groups or other games, just as there are many soccer teams in a country, there can be groups of shogi.

If someone wants to publish a shogi book, they are free to do so, you are nobody to criticize the work of others and the effort of others, if you never published a shogi book so that people can buy it, well I am very sorry, criticizing the books of others as you do only shows how insignificant you are and your envy towards others, but good news, it is not too late, so be encouraged to publish your book too, if you want.

I hope this is the last time that you speak to me or talk about my work, for this reason I ask the administrators of 81dojo to intervene in this problem.

This guy seems to have been associated with no less than three Shogi associations in Italy in the last 2-3 years:

“Shogi club Italia” (2018)
“Associazione Italiana Shogi Club Italia” (July 2020)
“Federazione italiana shogi” (December 2020).

I can't help wondering why the changes of name...

> there are also ignorant people, envious, they will speak bad about you, without having read your work, if they know how to
> value your effort, some people believe they are intelligent, but in reality they are just ignorant who do not know anything
> about anything, but they think they know everything, in situations like these there is a proverb Arabic that says:
> THE WORST OF THE VOICES IS THAT OF THE DONKEY AND THE VOICE OF THE IGNORANT.

Getting your retaliation in first, eh?

Here are three reviews of different Italian editions of Calogero's book, taken from the Amazon Italia page (translation
by Google Translate):

1------------------------
1.0 out of 5 stars Money down the drain !!!

Embarrassing!!! Apart from that it is a 39-page booklet and certainly not a book,
written in an Italian that I miss an elementary school child, with information that
can be easily obtained from wikipedia and moreover with errors and bad graphics !!!
Don't buy it !!1.0 out of 5 stars

2------------------------
1.0 out of 5 stars Editorialally impracticable
Reviewed in Italy on November 20, 2020
The book is very badly written, in an impracticable Italian. The author, before trying
his hand at writing about shogi, should take a course to learn the basics of the Italian
language since he does not know it. As for the content, it is a lot of rose water. Look
for more

not even a star

it is not written in correct Italian, moreover it is badly printed, the images are of
poor quality and the price is too high given the little use of the product. I had read
reviews from previous editions and bought this one in hopes it was better, but I guess
it's just more expensive at this point. Not recommended

There is a review of the first English language version of the book here:
