My daughter recently started playing it at elementary school, so now I have a good excuse! I've enjoyed watched many of the Hidetchi videos on YouTube and hope to learn much more by being beaten many times! Looking forward to playing you. よろしくお願いします。

Thanks for your encouraging words, Gunjiｎ. I think I spend too much time analysing and not enough time playing! The battlefield gets very messy very quickly - I must gain experience before I can hope to gain wisdom, I guess. À bientôt!
Are you an alien? :P Hope you will enjoy playing on the site and with your daughter! Shogi (and strategical/tactical games) are great for kids and it is even better to play/analyze with family members! I spend a great amount of time analyzing with my younger brother both chess and shogi and it's just great memories!
