Description
Dear friends,
Ukrainian Shogi Federation invites you to take part in "Ukrainian Youth Open Shogi Championship - 2022" tournament.
The event will take place from 2nd to 3rd April in Kyiv (Ukraine), in Kyiv Shogi club (Street Polovetska, 14).
This tournament is included in qualifying points system.
Tournament rules: 6 round Mac-Mahon system (if less than 16 players - Swiss system)
Time control: 30 minutes basic time for each player + byo-yomi: 1 minute per move
Tournament participants:
a) Anyone who is under 18 at tournament day, has mastered the game rules and paid a charitable contribution to the USF account is allowed to participate in the tournament
Special rules:
1) In case of sennichite the party will be replayed immediately with 10 minutes for each player time control (with no byo-yomi).
2) In case of zishogi the points will be countered according to "27-point Declare System". The player who has less than 27 points, loses (or the declarer loses in case if any one of the "27-point Declare System" conditions is broken). If both players have 27 points, White wins.
(Rook and bishop worthes 5 points each, king worthes 0 points, other pieces - 1 point each)
These two cases can be fixed only by tournament’s judge.
3) Due to the epidemiological situation and quarantine restrictions in Ukraine at the tournament date, it is allowed to participate in the tournament online (games will be held on the game server - 81dojo.com).
4) A player who has declared a wish to take part in Ukrainian Youth Open Shogi Championship - 2022 tournament via online method, is allowed to participate if he/she fills in the participant's form (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1p6nAXgSwgLYc0IizsQ05qRjc_QPHrRqu5hv_iJ1g7sQ) and paid tournament fee to USF account before the expire date (31st March 2022).
5) It is forbidden to use any software or receive advice and tips from players during tournament games. For violating the rules, the player may be disqualified until the end of the tournament without a refund of the tournament fee.
6) The result of the game of a player participating in Ukrainian Youth Open Shogi Championship - 2021 online is recorded according to the rules of the game server 81dojo.com.
Shogi Tournament fee:
200 UAH (~8 Є) or
100 UAH (~4 Є) for Ukrainian Shogi Federation (USF) members and participants under 14
Preliminary tournament schedule and cultural program:
2nd April (Saturday):
9-00 - opening of the tournament,
9-30 - 1 round,
12-00 - 2nd round,
14-00 - 3rd round
3rd April (Sunday):
9-00 - 4th round,
10-30 - 5th round,
12-00 - 6th round,
14-00 - closing of the tournament
Prize giving:
The players, that took 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in shogi tournament, will be awarded diplomas and worthy prizes.
Ukraine Youth Shogi Champion-2022 title will be awarded to the best player with Ukrainian citizenship.
Placement criteria (ranged in decreasing importance): (or Points - in case of Swiss system)

- the result of the party between the players.
In case all this criteria are still equal against the players in prize giving group, the additional competition will be judged between those players.
Conditions of that competition will be settled by the tournament’s judge.
The results of the players who took part in Ukrainian Youth Open Shogi Championship - 2022 tournament via online method, are taken into account in the general tournament table of participants according to the same provisions and indicators as for the offline tournament players.
All costs of players to participate in the tournament are borne by the sending organization
