Welcome to the 2022 Holiday Edition of Gokaku Tournament! I hope you can join and enjoy the tournament!
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Gokaku Tournament (五角大会): Holiday Edition is a tournament that will be played exclusively in December but unlike the regular tournament of GKK, this will only have one event which is the Open-Air Shogi. However, the tournament will be divided into two groups:
- Group A: 1dan and higher
- Group B: 1kyu and lower
CHAMPION
The champion shall be determined with the highest total points.
PRIZES
- Champion: Certificate of Recognition (soft copy) + 500 D-miles
- 1st Runner-up: Certificate of Recognition (soft copy)
NOTES
- This is a free tournament
- Only members of Shogi Harbour (both on the Discord server and 81 Dojo club) are allowed
- There shall only be 10 slots in each group so first come, first served
- If equal winning points: (a) the winner of the head-to-head matchup will take the top spot, (b) if there is no direct confrontation, the lower-rated player will take the top spot
- The rating that will be considered in joining groups and tiebreaking shall be the maximum rating. In case the maximum rating is too high provisional rating, the organizer shall check and decide
- Players who are able to play all the playable games in the tournament shall receive a token
- Do your best, enjoy, and play as much as you can
