Valid languages for communication with the organization: Portuguese, Spanish and English. Any languages can be used in communications between players, but only those ones listed here will be considered for some eventual decision.
The tournament will not be actively moderated! That is, the organization will attribute results to the games just when one of the players does not show up to play an set game (or in any special circumstance to be deliberated). Anyway, it is strongly recommended that players use the chat on the tournament table to schedule the matches, and start doing so well in advance to give opponents the time to respond.
Certificates will be awarded for:

• 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in the general category (and 500, 200 and 100 D-miles, respectively)
• 1st placed kyu category rated up to 999 (+ 100 D-miles)
• 1st placed kyu category with a rating from 1000 to 1199 (+ 100 D-miles)
• 1st placed kyu category with a rating from 1200 to 1499 (+ 100 D-miles)
• 1st place female (+ 100 D-miles)

Prizes will not be cumulative. Preference will be given to placing in the general category, followed by the female category.
We’ll take into account the ratings at the start of the tournament for awarding purposes.
We ask that, at the end of the tournament, the female participants identify themselves as such so that the first place prize can be awarded. The inclusion of this category is in line with CNS Brasil's understanding of the relevance of promoting the practice of Shogi among women. We understand that the presence of female shogi players in our community is highly valued and should be strongly encouraged.
The CNS Brasil community will choose the best match of the tournament, which will be commented in a video from our YouTube channel! The organization will accept suggestions from participants who would like to indicate a game.

Addendum to the rules (07/12/2023):
For matches with a day and time definitively agreed between both players, a tolerance of 15 minutes of delay will be granted for the start time. To prove the opponent's non-attendance, we ask the applicant for the result to send a print of the screen by email to the organization. In the absence of the print, the communications made in the game's matching environment will be evaluated.

A comunidade CNS Brasil escolherá a melhor partida do torneio, que será comentada em um vídeo do nosso canal no YouTube! A organização aceitará sugestões dos participantes, que queiram indicar algum jogo.

Adendo às regras (12/07/2023): Para as partidas com dia e horário acordadas definitivamente entre ambos os jogadores será concedida uma tolerância de 15 minutos de atraso para o horário de início. Para comprovação de não comparecimento do oponente, solicitamos ao requerente do resultado que envie print da tela por mail à organização. Na ausência do print, serão avaliadas as comunicações realizadas no ambiente de marcação do jogo.
