Like real shogi, on 81 Dojo your opponent is expected to resign to end the game, not just let the computer judge that it is checkmate and end the match automatically. So your opponent wasted time until their time ran out and lost that way, they should have just resigned. Either way, your win.

Correction, it was you who was checkmated so you needed to resign. The server doesn't end games by deciding checkmate, you have to recognize it and acknowledge it yourself by pressing the resign button (top left ).
