Welcome to the 2023 Holiday Edition of Gokaku Tournament! I hope you can join and enjoy the tournament!
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Gokaku Tournament (五角大会): Holiday Edition is a tournament that will be played exclusively in December but unlike the regular tournament of GKK, this will only have one event which is the Dobutsu Shogi.
- Every match will have a best-of-two format
- The first game will be random color
- The second game will have the colors switched
- All kifu links should be sent in the Discord server
- Pointing system:
- 2-0 or 1.5-0.5 = 3pts
- 1-1 = 2pts
- 0-2 or 0.5-1.5 = 1pt
CHAMPION
The champion shall be determined with the highest total points.
PRIZES
- Champion: Certificate of Recognition (soft copy) + 1000 D-miles
- 1st Runner-up: Certificate of Recognition (soft copy)
NOTES
- This is a free tournament
- Only members of Shogi Harbour (both on the Discord server and 81 Dojo club) are allowed
- Indicate your Discord username in your application
- There shall only be 10 slots so first come, first served
- If equal winning points: (a) the winner of the head-to-head matchup will take the top spot, (b) if there is no direct confrontation, the lower-experienced player will take the top spot
- The basis of experience shall be the dobutsu experience upon registration that can be found in your profile
- Players who are able to play all the playable games in the tournament shall receive a token
- Do your best, enjoy, and play as much as you can
