2018 US Shogi Championship Tournament will be held as follows.
Date: April 14 & 15, 2018
Site: Sysmex America, Inc. 577 Aptakisic Rd., Lincolnshire, IL 60069
Host: Chicago Shogi Club
Registration Fees: $100.00 to join the tournament ($50.00 for students under 21)
Entry qualification: Residents in North America for not less than one year
Visiting professional players: Akio Ishikawa 7 Dan, Masakazu Kondo 6 Dan, Asuka Ito Ladies 1 Dan
Lunch box: Available with $10 each day
Friendship dinner on Saturday: $50 at Nina Karaoke Lounge, 1776 W Golf Rd Mt. Prospect, IL 60056 (free karaoke!)
* Lunch box and Friendship dinner will require reservation in advance.

4/13 Fri
Pm 4-10 Entry registration (incl. payment) and Free Shogi Dojo with Professionals at Hampton Inn & Suite
4/14 Sat
Am 9-12 Qualifying quads to determine A class players and B class players
Pm 1-5 Team match
4/15 Sun
Am 9-12 Swiss system A & B class
Pm 1-4 Semi-final & Final
Lodging: Hampton Inn & Suite Lincolnshire gave us a rate $89.00 (+tax) per night during the event (room share available). Car ride from Hampton Inn to the tournament site available by Chicago shogi club member. The hotel location: 1400 N Milwaukee Ave. Lincolnshire, IL 60069, Phone: 847-478-1400
Registration: 4/13 Fri evening at the meeting room in Hampton Inn lobby or 4/15 Sat morning at Sysmex America.

The deadline for an entry request is set at the end of February, however even if the request comes later, we will be able to accommodate it.
