Hi! My name is Heidi, I'm 19 years old and I want to have fun and play shogi.

Shogi is very hard to develop without someone to play with. My family plays chess (and prefers chess) so I only get to play with my sister. And we're total newbies who played with little knowledge about the rules. 

So before I saw 81Dojo...I actually made a shogi set using some illustration boards I bought from the bookstore. We still use it though. I plan on teaching my younger siblings next. 

Hoping to make new shogi friends from around the world!

Here are my goals:
to develop my thinking skills
To have fun with playing shogi
To make shogi friends locally and from around the world


My name in the forums is IKIMONOGAKARI but my name on game rooms is HEIDI. not sure why I changed usernames but, oh well.

Looking forward to play with some of you guys.
