Shogi Primer: Japanese chess guide for English speakers, Seigo Sato, 2021, Independently published, 979-8755253314.

I don't have this one, but it is reasonably priced and is available in a Kindle edition. In the description on Amazon, the author states “I believe that Kanji is not a big obstacle to learning the Shogi rules.”, and the sample pages look quite promising. Worth a look?
