Thanks for your encouraging words, Gunjiｎ. I think I spend too much time analysing and not enough time playing! The battlefield gets very messy very quickly - I must gain experience before I can hope to gain wisdom, I guess.

Hope you will enjoy playing on the site and with your daughter! Shogi (and strategical/tactical games) are great for kids and it is even better to play/analyze with family members! I spend a great amount of time analyzing with my younger brother both chess and shogi and it's just great memories!
