Hiya, it's but a Nice initiative.
Congrats.

My 2 cents, are that, 1st, and foremost, ESC (East Shogi Championship) it's quite too close to the ESC-WOSC, and so I would like to sugest to change the acronism ...
may be something like: Eastern Countries Shogi Championship. ECSC, Its but quite not pronounced as a word. But either will it give any missunderstanding. 

and 2nd but Not less important, "East" it's but a really  unapropiate term to use, as it will depend extremly on where you /we set the World map.

So to explain, from a Japanese point of view, we Europeans are "WESTER'S" (ergo to said Western Chess, of Clasic tradititional Chess).

Thats is true for Americans, we are at their East.

and so, from a "Center Euope countries", Africa will most be South, and Asia will fit the term "East".

In the end. while I would support thi and any other good initiative... the "Branding" or naming of it will play an important role.
