Australia Tournament 2020

Eligibility

Must be living in Australia & member of 81 Dojo Club Australia:
https://system.81dojo.com/en/circles/119

Registration

Registration closes 10.00 pm EST, 31st July.
Apply above, please include your name and city of residence in the application.

Rules

Tournament Structure
Round Robin

Win = 3 points
Draw = 2 points
Loss = 1 points

12 or less players participating = single division round robin, no finals
Winner decided by total points. In case of equal points, head to head match result used as tie breaker.

13 or more players participating = tournament pools, seeding based on 81 dojo ranking. Top two ranked players from each pool qualify for finals series:

Semi Final 1 = 1st Pool A vs 2nd Pool B
Semi Final 2 = 1st Pool B vs 2nd Pool A
Grand Final = Winner SF1 vs Winner SF2

Tournament Period
Matches to be played from 1st to 31st August.
Scheduling outside of August by approval of tournament administrator only.
Finals to be played in September if required.

Match Type
30 minutes thinking time + 60 second byoyomi
Sente/Gote allocated randomly.
Even Game - Rated

Scheduling
All matches to be scheduled using the 81dojo tournament web system and played on the 81 dojo tournament room.

Time zone UTC.

If a player does not show within 20 minutes of the scheduled time the match is forfeited - contact tournament administrator to declare victory. Match may only be rescheduled in the case of extenuating circumstances at the discretion of the tournament administrator.
